Would someone PLEASE (politely) explain to me just WHEN the Articles of Impeachment
SHOULD be on the table? What more can this degenerate bunch do that would not be considered an impeachable offense? How many laws have they broken to date? How many lies have they told the American people & Congress?

Honest-to-God - what the HELL is going on with this Congress???????

6. Bah... Remember, Jefferson made IMPEACHMENT a political solution.
What drives politics? The will of the electorate.

You go, Bullwinkle! Help us pull a rabbit out of a hat!

11. Additional TOLL FREE Capitol Hill switchboard numbers here:
In my sig line below. I think between Class Warrior and myself, we've got 'em all covered. These are the latest, they're pre-tested and they work.

DEMAND IMPEACHMENT!!!

If they want to up their poll numbers, if they wonder why people are pissed, if they wonder why so many of us are frustrated enough to consider Bloomberg and/or Nader or somebody, if they wonder what they could possibly do to achieve the accountability for the White House THAT WE ALL VOTED FOR LAST NOVEMBER, THIS is what they MUST do. Start with cheney and work up (or down) from there - to bush.

The ONE thing you can say, that's somewhat "good" about the republi-CONS is that AT LEAST THEY PAY ATTENTION TO THEIR BASE.

WHY THE FUCK DON'T THE DEMOCRATS DO THAT???

They wonder why they're considered spineless? THIS IS WHY!!!!!

Do NOT be afraid to tell them these things!!!

And do NOT be afraid to demand IMPEACHMENT of any republi-CONS you call. YES. CALL THE ENEMY CAMP. BOTHER THEM about this, too. Because they are being seriously squeezed by bush's shitty numbers and the expanding - ACROSS-THE-BOARD - opposition, to the war.

21. I really hate to rain on anyone's
parade here and I am all for activism but, I have to say, I just don't think contacting these corporate whores has any effect. They don't CARE what we think and nothing we say is going to make a difference.

The ONLY thing that will make a difference is a groundswell of grassroots candidates -- ordinary people -- that will run for Congressional seats and yes, I DO think some can win. The only way to affect Congress is to throw most of the bums out and that means DINO Democrats (75% of Congress) and as many neo-con Republicans as possible.

You are correct that the ball IS in our court, but phone calls to corporate bought-and-paid-for politicians is and has been ineffective. Replacement is the only answer.

23. How many times have you called this week?
How many others have you convinced to call? Any solution is "ineffective" if it's unused.

Doesn't matter. We win even when IMPEACHMENT is just mentioned.
We just need to keep the pressure on till the mass goes critical.

10. SSSHHH - keeping the powder dry is hard work and takes time.
Can you believe it? I can picture Bush, Cheney and the rest having a daily laugh at the impotence of their opposition. It would be utterly hilarious if not so completely pathetic. Talk about being played for fools.

16. They have been recording every member of congress for 6 yrs. So
until some member steps forward and says, "I'm being blackmailed" and afraid I'll be indicted if I sponsor impeachment.

I hope some members are reading this and put the country before their personal problems.

20. What the hell is going on with Congress?
It's very simple. The vast majority of them are feeding from the same corporate trough, including and especially our illustrious frontrunners. Until we get real campaign finance reform (and there is absolutely NO incentive for them to do this), we will continue to be sold out.

24. When there is a chance of a successful impeachment.

Like any other crime, you don't prosecute unless and until you have at least some chance of a conviction, no matter how certain of guilt you are.

25. They ARE on the table.
House Resolution 333 was introduced in April.

http://kucinich.house.gov/SpotlightIssues/documents.htm

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/24/AR2007042401542.html

What's going on is that too many voters have supported the wrong congresspeople. They've supported the enablers complicit in furthering the corporate agenda. Those enablers aren't going to rush impeachment. They'll be ready with some tough-sounding rhetoric, but make sure that the Bush administration comes to a close without acting on the articles that have already been introduced.

Voters need to support the doers, not the enablers. In my opinion.
