Edited on Tue Jun-26-07 04:01 PM by draft_mario_cuomo
When is the last time a candidate mentioned poverty in an ad?

June 26, 2007

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- Presidential hopeful John Edwards' first television ads hit New Hampshire airwaves today.

The former North Carolina senator repeats part of his stump speech during the 30-second ad, telling viewers that it's time for the president to be patriotic about something more than war. Edwards says he knows how to help American families lift themselves out of poverty.

Edwards' wife, Elizabeth, also is featured in the ad.==
