2. What would you like them to do? And do they have the votes to do it? NT

4. I would like them to cosponsor H. Res. 333. Today.
If there aren't enough votes to support it, I'd like them to get up and do the work needed to get the votes.

What is so hard to understand about that?

9. Why do you suppose they aren't trying to get the votes? Do you know for a fact that they aren't?

10. It's an assumption on my part.
That if they were trying to get votes, they would sign on as cosponsors, bring it up when they are speaking, etc..

I suppose it's possible that they are all whispering about it privately, if that is supposed to be considered "working to get votes."

7. The Repubicans and their echo chamber in the
media would be calling for investigations and impeachment. But not the Democrats...gotta be nice and bi-partisan.

5. I thought Rahm Emanuel talking about cutting off funding
to Cheney's office as funny as it was appropriate.

Nothing phony about that.

8. really?
He was making a point, obviously one that escaped you, but a point nonetheless.

And this bullshit campaign to divide the Democratic Party by pigeon-holing ideology is weak. Rahm Emanuel is no more part of the "left-ring of the RNC" than you are. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

11. I think you've missed a news cycle or two
Rahm's measure will take the form of an amendment to H.R.2829, "the FY 2008 Financial Services and General Government Appropriations bill." The whole bill, along with its amendments, will probably be voted on Wednesday or Thursday in the Financial Services Subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee.

The Hill reports that Dick Durbin and Chuck Schumer are talking about Senate legislation parallel to Rahm's.
