Isn’t there some law regarding harassment on this so called Government? That is all this continued subpoenaing is about! Meanwhile aside from that, all these Dems do is look for more ways to harass.

That traitor Leahy has a lot of nerve investigating anyone, he should have gone to prison.

1. Why in the world do they want Leahy in jail?
I understand their frustration with all the damn bad news that keeps surfacing, and I bet they forgot about all the subpoenas during the Clinton admin, but what in the world did Leahy do to deserve their hate?

7. He's a Democrat?
When one is so uninformed, one is more likely to not even know exactly why one is angry or at whom.

9. From what I gather on wikipedia.
In 1987, Leahy resigned from his position as Vice Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee after an investigation into an alleged leak to a reporter regarding information. The information released by Leahy was not classified and it was determined there was no ethical or criminal violation.

Which makes him a criminal to freepers :eyes:

20. Hard to believe they could remember something in 1987
and not be able to recall any of the what some of their own heroes have said recently.

23. Nice one.
I love Leahy's comment to Bernie Sanders, "When it comes to the vice president, it's always better to be sworn in than to be sworn at."

14. I make typos too but I'd spell check before riding around with a big misspelled sign.
Edited on Wed Jun-27-07 01:35 PM by CottonBear
That said, they are morans for many reasons. The bad spelling is just a side effect of moranity.

Just so you could travel back, pick up these guy's younger selves from the Clinton era and have them meet thier future selves saying what they are saying now?

It' s like an ironic tragedy. The freeps hypocrisy is evident to everyone but themselves.

10. "WHAT IS LEFT OF OUR REPUBLIC"
I'm amazed at how they seem to sense things are going badly wrong but can't admit what the source of the trouble is. Their brand of conservatism is a mental illness.

13. Damn shame they forgot about
the 80 million dollars the republicans spent chasing down rumors about President Clinton and the thousands of subpoenas they sent to the white house investigating every petty thing from the Christmas list to Boots fan club. That's what I call harassment, don't you.

17. It's moral/situalitional relativism at its worst.
They obviously can't recall the Inquisition over silly issues that we had to endure in the 90's. But hold a government accountable for serious Constitutional and moral issues such as starting a war based on lies? That's OK...

If Clinton/Gore had done what we know Bush/Cheney has done...I'd be a registered Republican now. Too bad these clueless idiots can't take off their partisan blinders off and see what kind of long term damage their Party is doing to this country.

"big dog" would have resigned, we just might have been able to hold these nasty republicans to a higher standard. The Clintons contributed to this "I'm here no matter what" digging in style of stonewalling.

Very few members within Congress have A SHRED of integrity and moral courage. And courage does NOT rest with our Democratic Leadership in either The House or The Senate. With rare exception we need to vote all these bums out! http://voidnow.org

24. You will never convince me that the actions of Clinton lying about his sex life
are equivalent to the lies that this administration tell daily with regards to the running of our nation's business. The Republicans had no business asking about a consensual sex act between 2 consenting adults. If you have other documented proof that Clinton lied about the public's business, I'm all ears. Clinton signed an independent prosecutor law that created the Starr commission. I hardly call that stonewalling. Fact is , the Republicans conducted an 8 year fishing expedition and what did they have to show for it? How many convictions for corruption did they get? 1...Ciszernos and that was on the basis of him paying off his mistress....not exactly a crime against the citizens of this country.

I'll focus on getting the Republican bums out. The only Democrat in Congress that might be a real crook is Jefferson....and I'll wait for his indictment and prosecution to confirm that. I disagree with your sweeping generalization that we only have a few members with integrity and courage. What we don't have is a veto-proof majority.

It is in the Republican's interest to spread the false lie that "everyone in Congress is corrupt and there is no difference between the 2 Parties." Sorry, I don't buy what they are peddling.
