Nader's Ego Enters 2008 Race

The field of presidential candidates got a little more crowded today as the massive ego of consumer activist Ralph Nader announced that it was entering the 2008 race.

For its historic announcement, Mr. Nader's ego chose New York's Madison Square Garden, the only venue available large enough to contain the candidate's bloated self-esteem.

Once upon a time Nader did good things, but I lost all respect for him during the debacle of 2000 - and I do blame him, in part, especially for spreading outrageous lies ("There's no difference between Gore and Bush"). Then there came a moment after the debacle of 2004 when I thought he might redeem himself - when, as a legitimate candidate, he tried to trigger a recount in a contested state. I gave him some props for trying, at least. And now this?? I think the OP is correct and it really is all about an overblown ego by now. Rather sad, really.
