Can we move on now?
Is this clear enough for you "Hope is a game plan" types?

"I'm not planning to be a candidate again for office," Gore told Reuters on Thursday, repeating a now familiar denial at the launch of a "call to action" for Live Earth concerts around the world on July 7 to focus attention on climate change.

"I'm involved in a different kind of campaign to spread awareness of the climate crisis and the way to solve the climate crisis," he said.

"If this campaign is successful, it will put pressure on all of the candidates for every office in all parties to do the right thing on the climate."

1. "Not planning" is not "will not".....
no, we can't move on. Not until Al says NO! There isn't a declared Democratic candidate that can hold Gore's jockstrap. I won't give up on him running until every possibility has been ruled out. Clear enough? :)

2. He's Running
Here's what you say if you really don't want to be President:

"If nominated I will not run; if elected I will not serve" - William Tecumseh Sherman

Here's what Gore said: "I'm not planning to be a candidate again for office"

See a difference?

7. He will very soon reach a point
where a decision to run will just be seen as a "flip-flop".

The fact is, he's not running.

4. There are those two little words again: "not planning"
He has never said, "I am not running" - he has only said, "I am not planning to run." There's a HUGE difference in those two statements.

Until he slams the door shut and says, "I am not running for president in 2008," I will remain optimistic. :-)

8. I like this line.
"There are 500 days between now and the U.S. presidential election, and it's way too premature to speculate on anything," Gore said.

9. Which Obviously Means He's Not Running
Did you hear the one about Dean causing a "Rumsfeldian" defeat of the Democrats in the 2006 elections?
