4. what did you make of that?
i thought the whole thing was a little weird. i was expecting, based on the title "A New Direction", to have sort of a master vision laid out. There was a little of that but very little. It seemed like most of the emphasis was that the republicans are blocking everything.

I was expecting to hear real plans for education, health care, trade, and foreign policy but sure didn't hear much of that. In a word, not that anything was wrong with what little they did say, but I didn't really hear any "direction" let alone a "New Direction". Very strange.

A new bill in July to redeploy troops after passing a funding bill with Bush's benchmarks

5. Words And No Action No Longer Impress Me! Having Said That I
do realize they may not have the votes in the Senate to get much done, but if Democrats want to keep the support of their "base" they are going to have to do more than talk!!!

I find it harder and harder to follow a leader when I don't know WHO'S really leading. A certain cohesion seems to be lacking and I don't see a real path to follow. How can I support something when I feel a bit betrayed, but even more CONFUSED???
