If the media leans left why do we not hear regularly from Noam Chompsky,
Howard Zinn, Arundhati Roy, Michael Parenti and so on? These are our most intellectually brilliant speakers. Instead we hear from Al Sharpton as if we chose him to speak for us. The media chooses whose voice everyone else gets to hear. How do we demand that our best speaker get air time?

I'm sick of all our speakers being mainstream center to center right for the left and center right to hard core right for the right.

1. Same reason we don't hear regularly from William Safire.

While one is a leftist and the other a rightist, they are both pompous asses completely out of touch with the actual physical world.

2. Who doesn't hear from William Safire?
Maybe in commie strongholds like Chicago you don't get him, but around these parts he's a regular columnist.

3. "they are both pompous asses" which ones are you talking about other than
William Saffire? Plus I do see Saffire editorial regularly in the news papers.

5. With respect to Chomsky- he doesn't speak in sound bites
and, unfortunately, he tends to drone in his delivery.

Great ideas, unparalleled command of the facts- but difficult to listen to.
