Poll question: Which is a better ticket, Gore/Clark or Gore/Obama? |
|
Which ticket is more likely to win?
Note this is not "Which ticket do you like better?"

2. Clark Would be an Amazingly Good President |

and add a lot of substance to the ticket. But he did not seem to be an especially good campaigner in 2004.
The mixture of Gore and Clark would be incredibly attractive to a lot of voters. It would not only draw independents, but probably get some Republican crossover as well.

3. Obama has a national constituency |
|
by virtue of having been elected to something in his life and having the ability to inspire people with his message. Clark does not. Obama is more electable.

and some of them are still promoting him on the net. Nothing compared to what Obama is doing though.

that Obama is the only person in this poll who is actually running, I would have to give the advantage to a ticket which had Obama on it. :eyes:

Obviously this poll assumes Gore running. The question is who makes the better running mate.
Obama being elected Senator (or running for President) does not automatically make him a better running mate.

5. Very hard to choose, but I voted Gore/Clark |
|
Oh, I just saw that this is who is more likely to win. This was the right vote, then. I do think we'd get more crossover votes with Clark.

I think G/O provides the experience at the top of the ticket w/ the excitement and charisma in the VP slot. Clark has a great military background but I don't remember him being a great campaigner during the '04 election.

13. Obama is making too many rookie mistakes in this race |
|
Plus, he won't add anything to what support Gore will already have. Clark would bring in more center/right votes.

I went with Gore/Clark because I would hate to have the added pressure of "breaking a barrier" in this election and have idiot racists vote in blocks to try and block something. Gore/Clark for 8 years... then Clark/Obama for 8 more and then Obama/?? for 8 after that? Sound good?
