I just made my first ever donation and it was to Obama! |
|
I just wanted to proclaim my financial support for Obama... I didn't really have the money but he is close to 350,000 donations and I wanted to do my part. Gobama!!! So far for the six months of 2007 Obama has had 255,829 different donors and 349,607 total donations. I challenge everyone to make a contribution to the candidate of their choice. If I can do it on a tight budget then everyone can do it. :patriot:

It feels good to own a small piece of the campaign doesn't it? :bounce:
Obama's fund-raising is impressive. Over a quarter a million donors.

My virgin donation was to Howard Dean. I liked it so much, I kept doing it, even traveled to a primary state to walk orecincts. It feels good and is addictive.

Then, I got hooked. I was always sitting at the computer, calling to my husband, "It is okay if I give Dean some more money?"
He didn't get the nomination, but we ended up with an awesome party chairman.
Currently, Al Franken is getting all of my spare change, but I'm sure some other folks will get me to open my wallet later on.

17. My first political donation ever was to Dean. |
|
I'm withholding donations to a candidate until the money is going to be used against Republicans, and not against each other.

I do a lot of grassroots work for Obama as well, but also felt that both Edwards and Kucinich needed some ching-ching on the bling bling.

Regardless of candidate or cause it's good to be "invested" in the process.
I doubt this will be your last donation.

I made my first donation to John Edwards yesterday. Although I do like Obama a lot too. Edwards/Obama would be my ideal ticket, but I would love an Obama/Edwards ticket too :toast: .
