she gets reallllllly mad in response to the very well documented allegations that she caved in to bush and let the EPA put out a bunch of happy talk about air safety around the WTC site. goes right along with bush telling Americans to just go shopping. she let propaganda take precedence over public health. that's what happens when you put politics ahead of policy.
the result? a whole lot of people died or have developed life-threatening lung diseases. it's unconscionable what she did.

Conyers uncovered some interesting issues during this hearing that could affect the presidential campaign.
Whitman is saying that the failure to notify the public about air quality safety concerns around the 9/11 site was under the control of the city of NY. Giuliani has raised questions about the handling of the situation by the EPA.
Whitman is ducking the issue now that it's been raised. She's refusing to pin the blame on Giuliani even though he apparently made statements holding her responsible.
