1. Because she's a younger trophy wife -- and she's the least of his problems
Which is why he's waiting so long to throw his hat in the race.

5. Uh, they are. Which wives are not scrutinized? Have you not -
heard of Michelle Obama and her Wal-Mart connections, or Elizabeth Edwards and her cancer, or Cindy McCain and her painkiller addiction, or Ann Romney and her MS, or Judith Giuliani and her sneaking into Gracie Mansion for trysts with Rudy? How is this any more unfair?

7. I don't want Fred in there because he's a fascist pig -- I was speaking of public perception
I wasn't discussing what should be, but what is.

Besides, don't you remember all the nasty remarks about Tipper and Hillary? To say nothing
of John Kerry's wife?

2. It's the way it is and always has been.
Ever hear of Mamie Eisenhower, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jackie Kennedy, Lady Bird Johnson, Pickles, Bar Bush, Nancy Reagan, or Betty Ford? Ever hear any cruel and inappropriate jokes about them? Any unkind stories in print?

Time for some thick skin.

6. I'll raise you one, and take you back to the early days of the Republic ...

"The election of 1828 was extremely negative in its tone due to allegations regarding Jackson's marriage to Rachel Robards. Rachel was undergoing a divorce from her first husband, Col. Lewis Robards, at the time she and Jackson married. Only after the marriage did the couple find out her divorce was not final. They separated until the divorce was finalized, then were were legally married soon after. Rachel died on 22 December 1828, six weeks after his election to the presidency, and Jackson blamed Adams for her death due to the vicious gossip that had been spread during the election. Jackson never forgave Adams for that incident. In addition, he killed a man named Charles Dickinson in 1806 in a duel (with pistols) over Mrs. Jackson's honor."

4. Good fodder for the late night shows, don't you think?
Well, the wife does have a wee bit of public duties, doesn't she when she's First Lady? But her age shouldn't be a factor in his ability to be elected, but you can bet it will because not too many people can resist commenting on couples with such disparity in ages. Just human nature. Nothing will stop it, but I think this country will make a huge mistake if it elects him. I'm very confident that it won't happen.

8. So edwards big haircuts and the rest of the crap isn't?
The mud is slinging high and wide. Mud on republicans is just fine with me.

Besides these assholes run on 'fambly values' while Freddy is dragging around a woman 30 years younger than he is, he dumped his first wife, and I am just guessing that the current wife did not marry him for his good looks. So screw the high road shit. Sling the mud their way. They are a bunch of hypocritical lying assholes and it is high time this was pointed out at every opportunity.

9. Four words:
Theresa Heinz Kerry + ketchup

The Republicans deserve no more respect than they give (which is none).

10. Luntz pulling stats out of his ass
“The spouse of the candidate matters in less than 1 out of 100 votes,” Mr. Luntz said. “It’s not relevant. It will have no impact whatsoever.”

Here's a stat for Luntz: 1 out of every 1 sentence out of your mouth is utter BS.
