Obama Launches Healthcare Blog
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/304615/obama_launches_healthcare_blog.html

The campaign is inviting voters across the country to have an honest participation in shaping the healthcare debates which have left over 45 million Americans and 9 million children uncovered in the past years.

In an email received from the campaign's spokesman, part of the email reads, "The goal of the blog is to allow participants to collaborate with each other to define and refine the best ideas for the future of health care policy. Posts will cover a range of topic-from the healthcare system's affect on small business owners to our nation's 40 million uninsured. Posts will also incorporate recent news stories and your experiences as a way to jump-start discussions."

Healthcare issue is becoming the second most concerned issue beside the war in Iraq. Millions of Americans are concern about the drastic skyrocketing rate of their premiums, and the lack of choice provided by their insurers.

Every year, the U.S. spends over $2 trillion on healthcare; yet, millions are still not covered by the system. The country also has the best medical and technological facility in the world.

In the recent weeks, Sen. Obama proposed an affordable universal coverage for all Americans irrespective of their illnesses or pre-existing health conditions. He pointed out the healthcare crisis in the country does not just affect the over 45 million uninsured, but also gravely affect the insured as premiums and deductibles are becoming increasingly outreach for the insured.

The senator's plan includes; employer contribution, expansion of Medicaid and SCHIP, flexibility for state plans, mandatory coverage for children, choice for those who want to buy private insurance, bringing up to technology in lowering cost and improving quality, dealing with prevent, etc.

The plan is geared toward saving up to $2500 for a household. Many healthcare professionals praised the measure as very hopeful in solving the healthcare crisis rampaging every family in the country.
