What new scandal awaits Dubya once this awol guard story runs its course? Cocaine? Abortion? Enron? 9-11? DWI? Community service? Affairs?

2. My Grandfather..
Who watches politics closely and is not on the Internet asks me:What is this about Bush paying for an abortion years a go? He said he saw it on one of the cable channels, couldn't remember which one.

3. I got an idea. Why not just focus on what WE will do for the country?
Why does the center of our campaign have to be things that Bush might have done over 30 years ago? I've heard the AWOL, cocaine, and booze stories since the mid-1990s. We are now 0-3 against Bush. Instead of perpetuating our losing streak by focusing on these old rumors, why don't we tell Americans what WE will do regarding national security, social security, education, the environment?

5. I'm sure whoever the Dem nominee is
will devote his entire campaign on telling the people what he will do for them. In the meantime we need to discredit the sniveling coward occupying the people's White House and I intend to do my part. If you can't see what playing nice has gotten us over the years, then you need to pay closer attention. I for one am tired of sitting back and letting the repukes spread their propaganda. There comes a time when you need to fight fire with fire!

11. Playing nice?
You're joking, aren't you? In case you don't remember, our campaign theme of 2000 was 'Bush is dumb'. People got hammered with this idea so much that, when the debates came, and Bush didn't trip over his own feet, people immediately thought, "Gee, this guy didn't sound as stupid as everybody has been saying". The Democrats in effect, ended up making Bush appear better than he really was because of their constant badmouthing. So what lesson have we learned in 2004? OK, now our central theme is "Bush is dumb AND evil". That sounds like the surest way I know to make us 0-4 against him.

8. I think something about what jobs and re-training will be , would be
good. I would like to see some thing come out on what the GI bill after WW2 cost and what it produced dragged out as I think that is what we need. Also no tax brakes to put jobs over seas. I hope Kerry has some of those plans. I have children and grandchildren and I am betting they will wish to keep working their whole lives.I also only think legit people should come into the country. Get in line as our people had to do.

9. it goes without saying that should be the focus

I got an idea. Why not just focus on what WE will do for the country?

People do not necessarily vote the issues, however. They vote for bush because they believe he is like them. They think he is a down home good ole' boy. Plain spoken and honest. That is why they support him.

This image has been carefully nurtured by bush's handlers. It is, however, so far from the truth that it is almost laughable. The mask needs to be stripped away and who he is must be shown. The best way to do that is to get to the truth about what he did in the Guard.

Who can identify with a coke sniffing absentee Guardsman? Someone who, as a member of the privileged elite, used every trick in the book to get out of duty in VietNam. The character contrast to Kerry, who is also a member of the elite but who served, has been handed to us on a silver platter. We would be fools to ignore it.

6. Expose him
Edited on Sun Feb-15-04 07:43 AM by cubsfan6969
He must be exposed for the little snit that he is. If Kerry doesn't fight back, Rove and the gang will destroy him. Remember how they stole the election in 2000?
