Anyone recall during Clinton's era which employees were drug into Congress? |
|
Anyone else out there recall which people in the Clinton Admin were hauled into Congress over various "scandals"? I remember his one secretary (Curry?) that was. I'm just curious which people were and for which investigation.

1. Wasn't it pretty much every one in the Executive branch at one time or another? |

2. Not too sure, really curious if people like... |
|
Stephanopolas and the like were dragged up there and the people in comparable positions like the DOJ employees that Bush is now trying to block.

3. I think Betty Currie was dragged before the grand jury, not Congress |
|
But it might be easier to ask which Clinton Administration official WASN'T dragged before Congress or the grand jury, or both. We were in the full throes of an out-and-out witchhunt and those folks didn't give a hoot about Executive Privilege or anything else.
Hypocrites.

4. Ken Starr was doing such a smear job did congress bother? |
|
Ken Starr was doing such a good job leaking Grand Jury testamony, Congress didn't need to dirty its hands with scandals. I don't remember who or how many.
Checks and balances were in full force then. Now, Congress has to clean up the lack of checks and balances from the previous "Rubber Stamp" Congress.

5. "drug into Congress" or "dragged into Congress?" |
|
Both verbs have different meanings.
