Voters Excited by the 08 Race, but Tired of it, too.
this is an interesting article. It is about the voters who are interested in the prez. race but, feel it's too early. But, many realize the importance of the race. They are largely undecided and just looking right now.
It is a good and insightful article.

NARBERTH, Pa., July 6 — Kathy Hubbard likes politics, is delighted with the field of Democratic presidential candidates and considers the 2008 presidential race the most exciting — and important — in years.

But she raised an arm in frustration as she cringed at the barrage of images and information that the contest throws at her every day.

“It’s too soon,” Ms. Hubbard, a creative writing teacher, said as she walked up the street of this trim Philadelphia suburb, her two young daughters and a dog in tow. “I don’t ever remember it starting this early. It’s bizarre. It’s a shame that I have to begin paying attention to the presidential race now.”

Ms. Hubbard is hardly alone in her sentiments. In dozens of interviews across the country, voters said the presidential campaign had become much too intense, much too soon.

1. I agree and I have not decided who to vote for yet either... I'm
eliminating as I find out more.

4. I really worry about this
I am not sure how Hillary, Obama, Edwards, Richardson and the others are going to be able to hang on this long. Stump speeches get boring after a couple of months anyway and it takes a really super extra-ordinary person to keep changing them and still keep the content fresh and exciting. It is also extremely physically exhausting and increases the chances for major flubs and goofs. I also worry about the candidate's spouses. They also make huge sacrifices. All in all I think it is a bad idea.

2. I just feel like its a build up/tear down game with the media.
I think the media already knows who it wants, but it plays games by building up some before tearing them down so their own favorite will be the one they will get behind in the end.

I just feel it in my bones that they annointed my guy, Obama. Slowly I think it's preordained they will "Howard Dean" Barack right at the time when it matters and go with Hillary. I hope to God it doesn't happen that way, but I just have this feeling it will.

3. I agree. It burns out those of us who really don't want to eat, sleep and breathe
politics 24/7. Three months for the run up to the primaries and three months for general should be quite enough.

Of course for those who love nothing more than the smell of burning reputations and slime-Chris Matthews, for example-there would be one hell of a fight.

Easy fix-change the law so that the ownership of media cannot be monopolized so easily, nationalize all tv and radio, or only allow citizen's groups to own stations. The commercial revenue, after operating expenses, could cover all election expenses and single payer health care, and then some.
