I am so sick of that term.
What is "varnished advice?" It's got to be better than the "unvarnished" variety the Chimp has been getting for seven years.

This is where you take really crappy, rough, unfinished and splintery advice which is made from extremely poor quality wood laminate. You then cover it up with dozens of coats of clear republican shellac, until the advice looks glossy and shiny on the outside to any kind of rudimentary viewing.
You then take this polished up turd and submit it to the public. You can't touch this advice however, and you certainly aren't allowed to inspect it closely. Because close inspection will reveal what is really at the core of it all. A cheap, splintery, piece of crap coated over with secrecy, spin, and obfuscation.

2. Let's maybe get back to the olde Yankee way of protecting wood. . . |
|
1/3rd linseed oil, 1/3 apple cider vinegar, & 1/3 turpentine. . .builds up a lovely patina over time.
That's how I'll take my advice too.
Apple cider vinegar purifies all sorts of BS. Varnish only masks it.
I honestly hadn't heard that expression before though.
