It was in LBN, a freeper doctored it and they pushed it into the news. Do a search.

They're not talking about the photo with him in the background. There's one on the Internet that was originally him sitting alone on a dais, and someone photoshopped in Fonda.

The one that's been in the papers is real.

I think it's pretty well known that that picture was doctored and it's not the one giving him grief.

If the case can be made that people that are pushing doctored pictures are desperaret and can't be trusted it will go a long way for defusing the potentially damaging pics, like the lawn photo.

but it is no secret - at least on the net.

I was suprised that the NY Times even mentioned it. Even though they stated in the paragraph that the origin of it was questionable, it is fact they put "highly" questionable information in the article. This was when they published the first article regarding Kerry and Fonda. :crazy:

As a 20-year-old photographer documenting the country's struggle over the Vietnam War, Ken Light snapped the picture of John Kerry at a peace rally in Mineola. It captured the future senator alone at a podium, squinting into the sun.

Light did not photograph Jane Fonda on that warm June Sunday in 1971. The actress, who is reviled by many Vietnam veterans for her vocal stance against the war, did not even attend.

But when opponents of the Democratic presidential hopeful began e-mailing Light's picture to one another four days ago, it depicted Fonda standing by Kerry's side. The photo had been doctored.

"I'm horrified," said Light, 52, who grew up in East Meadow and now heads the graduate photojournalism program at the University of California at Berkeley. "I think this kind of alteration is probably one of the scariest forms of trickery, particularly when it's done against a political candidate."

That is the picture of Kerry on a stage with Fonda. The one of Kerry in a crowd a few rows back is different.
