Vitter’s Problem Grows as New Orleans Ex-Madam Says Vitter Was a Client
July 10th, 2007 @ 5:24 pm

Oh my!!! Apparently, Senator David Vitter of Louisiana is in even deeper hot water than thought last night when it was revealed that his number was on the infamous ‘Madam’ phone list. Vitter groveled last night “after his telephone number appeared in the phone records of the woman dubbed the “D.C. Madam,” making him the first member of Congress to become ensnared in the high-profile case.”

The statement containing Vitter’s apology said his telephone number was included on phone records of Pamela Martin and Associates dating from before he ran for the Senate in 2004.

Now it seems that a former New Orleans Madam has come forward and revealed that Vitter was a client at her brothel. Good gracious… He sure had people duped into thinking he was such an upstanding conservative Christian Republican! NOT:

Sen. David Vitter, who publicly apologized after being linked to an alleged prostitution ring in Washington, was once a client of a high-priced New Orleans brothel, a former madam told a New Orleans television station Tuesday.

Jeanette Maier, who pleaded guilty to running the Canal Street brothel in 2002, made the allegation in an interview with WDSU-TV.

4. Let's see if she's as full of hot air as he is about family values.

She made that comment after his first brothel affair was revealed & I believe they were separated for a time. What will she do now that he's confessed to the D.C. brothel?

His wife, Wendy, was asked by the Newhouse News reporter: If her husband was as unfaithful as former President Bill Clinton, would she be as forgiving as Hillary Clinton?

“I’m a lot more like Lorena Bobbitt than Hillary,” Wendy Vitter told Newhouse News. “If he does something like that, I’m walking away with one thing, and it’s not alimony, trust me.”

“I think fear is a very good motivating factor in a marriage,” she added. “Don’t put fear down.”

6. I doubt he'd be charged
it was years ago, and the only 'evidence' is the phone records.

But he should resign.
