Rangel (Clark supporter) now kicking GOP butt for Kerry on MTP |
|
Edited on Sun Feb-15-04 11:13 AM by wndycty
He is calling Ed Gillespe out, he is defending John Kerry, he is carrying on in the fine tradition of the fighting Democrats. He keeps calling Bush Governor, because he cannot forget Florida. He is wailing on Bush. I am proud he was part of the Clark campaign and I am proud that he is fighting for Kerry . . . call me a Clark Democrat for Kerry. GAME ON!

4. Charles Rangel Is My Man |
|
I just saw him on MTP and he was marvelous as usual. He is a real patriot and speaks from the heart. I love the Gov. Bush remark! That is what I shall call * from now on.
Rangel stood up for Bill Clinton when others were slow to move. Time and time again he has spoken up first and spoken clearly.
Charles Rangel:bounce: :bounce: should be at the table in a Kerry administration.
I was also proud that he was with my candidate...Wesley Clark. :bounce: :bounce:

6. I first really became aware of Rangel |
|
when he stood up for Elian Gonzales, while practically everybody else, including Al Gore, was pandering to the Miami kidnappers. I have had a tremendous amount of respect for him ever since.

I absolutely love him. Kerry is very lucky to have such strong fighters in his corner, he's going to need all of them against the coming RW onslaught.
Please give us more details.

7. Rangel was pissed because he thought he would be on at the same time |
|
as Gillespie, and it turns out that Gillespie came on second, by himself, the douchebag.

It was better than Ted Kennedys head shaking. What a guy.

:toast: That RNC hack was scared shitless to appear debate style with Rangle. Rangle still murdered him. The repukes bombed out for the second time in 2 weeks on MTP...BADLY, I might add!

15. Rangle wanted to debate Gillespie... but Gillespie |
|
Edited on Sun Feb-15-04 01:08 PM by Anti Bush
refused to debate Rangle. Aint fair! Gillespie was given a chance to refute everything Rangle said but, Charlie didn't get a chance to refute a single thing Gillespie said.
Edited to add that Charlie has ALWAYS been one of my favorites! I hope he can do something to help out our new Kerry administration without losing his pull in the house. Yeah Charlie! He's our man!

16. Rangel is an admirable man |
|
I have always admired him, even if he is a career politician (but that is what our system breeds).
Rangle is intelligent and funny. I did think he was misguided for endorsing Clark--but kudos to Clark for getting a quality person like Rangel to endorse him.

17. Rangel Rocks! I think wndycty and I can agree on that! :) |
|
Yeah, I thought Rangel did a really good job of presenting his position today... When Russert questioned him about his support for General Clark, he responded very admirably, saying that he thought Clark did a great job of challenging "Gov. Bush" on issues of National Security, and that he thought Senator Kerry could do the same.
I really liked how he wouldn't let Gillespie off the hook for not being on the same segment of the show he was...
Rangel's a fighter and an asset to our party and our candidate!
From Clark Country, Another Clarkie for Kerry!

18. Last week I watched a very lengthy Watergate documentary |
|
because I felt I wasn't familiar enough with all of the details of that case, and because I'm seeing so many similarities with the current mis-administration.
Anyway, Charlie Rangel was on the House COmmittee which first voted to impeach Nixon, and I didn't know that before.

20. Bet Charlie Would Be Ready To Impeach* |
|
This pass summer,I saw CSPAN coverage of the Black Caucus. Rangel was spectacular,as usual. Ted Kennedy was awesome. What struck me about that broadcast was that Conyers came on last. Conyers hinted,in a skillfully political way...
"If you don't like what is happening in Washington, contact your elected officials. Do you hear me,they can't do anything without knowing that they have your support. Let them know NOW that they have your support."
When I look back on it, I am sure that Rangel/Kennedy got Conyers to be the messenger -- they realized then that Bush needed to go. The situation is worse now.
Impeach Bush, at this time in Clinton's tenure, they were wearing him out. It was a miracle that he made it through.
I say, keep the pressure on! Charlie Rangel has been a fighter all his life and for all the right reasons. He is my hero.
