Poll question: Which is a bigger healthcare problem?
Don't select option three: it's self-evident, but if I didn't include it, someone would have told me I'd forgotten to include it. :)

1. Okay... which part of "don't select option three" was unclear?

2. I can't vote because my option isn't there:
it's The Corporate Hogs are too damn greedy.

3. Well, I'd think that that's likewise self-evident (and undeniable)
But it kind of underlies both of the primary options above, too.

5. Far bigger than either of these is the insurance companies
blocking physicians from using treatments that will help an individual and not harm them. I've heard horror stories about people who were denied insurance payments of drugs because the insurance company had decided that other drugs were cheaper to use--even when the other drugs interfered with other medications in a negative way. And that is just one example. I know of proven therapies that aren't covered by insurance companies--my husband was told point blank by his insurer that they would rather addict him to painkillers and pay for back surgery with a low probability of helping him than to pay for chiropractic treatments that WOULD solve the problem. And this was years ago (yes, he paid out of pocket and doesn't have the problem any more). I hate to think what the insurance/drug companies are doing now.

6. Okay, once more. "Don't select option three."
Let's see how it works this time.
