http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/07/10/AR2007071001907.html?hpid=sec-politics

"In the most recent Washington Post-ABC poll, the former senator from North Carolina was trounced by Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) among Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents with household incomes below $20,000. Clinton had the support of 55 percent, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) drew 20 percent and Edwards 10 percent.

Meanwhile, a new poll focusing on political independents, conducted by The Post, the Kaiser Family Foundation and Harvard University, shows this muted support among low-income voters carrying over to the general election."

The WaPo article did not include a direct link to the poll. I assume its a new one yet to be fully released.

2. Nobody campaigns to them

All they know is things were better with Bill, so let's do that again. I tried to get the Kerry campaign to pay more attention to these folks too, got nowhere. It's a damned shame. Instead, Schumer is out there pretending the AMT is an issue that affects the broad "middle class", and nobody is making a big deal about anything that affects the bottom 40%. (Yes I know the AMT needs fixing)

6. Its sad that in our advanced times people are still making less than $20K/year.
Oh but the economy is booming, and tax cuts have helped these peop...well no my bad the cuts have helped people who make MORE than $200K/year. That makes sense.
