Kerry supporters. . .I am now a Wes Winger for Kerry
Edited on Sun Feb-15-04 11:51 AM by wndycty
I look forward to working with all Democrats to unseat Bush. My first objective is to work for party unity, not only between Clark and Kerry supporters but between all Democrats.

4. Welcome aboard, wndycty.
You are your candidate have the "right stuff." Wes Clark is a true American patriot.

The Democratic party owes General Wes Clark a deep debt of gratitude for standing up and claiming the inherent right of all Americans to dissent without being called unpatriotic.

5. As a Weswinger who really enjoyed the blog
community at the Clark04 site....I ask that the Kerry folks campaign to make the Kerry blog better. It's a mess and doesn't lend itself to activism like the Clark blog did.
I'm trying to describe what it's like, and all I can think of is: cold.
( The Clarkblog was white-hot with friendship and ideas and a can-do attitude)

Maybe I'm just silly, but I like "Clarkie for Kerry" better than "Wes Winger for Kerry" :silly:

17. All kidding
aside, I like the "unification" message... Sgt. (US Rep. from NY)Charlie Rangel sure did a good job of it on MTP this morning!

Let's get to work, all! What can we do to help between now and the start of the GE?

From Clark Country,
Another Clarkie for Kerry!

21. Heh
I don't know we'll every agree on this one. Everybody has a preference. I'm for "Wes Clark Democrat." Clarkie, to me, is an affectionate nickname among ourselves, but not for the general public. A lot of people like "Clark Democrat" -- the problem I have with this one is Clark is such a common name and I think using it with "Wes" takes that out of the picture. "Wes Winger for Kerry" is cute, though, and the spirit of "Clarkie for Kerry" is nice.

The most important thing to me is we are a clear bloc for Clark, no matter what we do.

16. Okay - I did my homework
I studied Kerry's platform, I read up on his voting record, and I have officially changed my avatar.

I never saw the "electibility" as clearly as I do now. Ideologically, Clark and Kerry have much in common. But I believe that Clark was so new, so green, that the majority of those who didn't flock to him, might have don so because the didn't think he had the experience necessary to take Bush to task. I get that now, and I'm fully behind the Kerry machine. Clark once said (shortly after the draft) that he liked Kerry, but got into this race because no one was flocking to Kerry. Clark only EVER wanted to beat Bush. His faith in Kerry's electibility, his kicking-Bush-ass-ability, has been restored. That's how I see it, and that's where I'm standing today.

Just back from a candidate's forum where all the speakers ended by asserting the overarching goal is to rid this country of the Bush cancer.

We will beat Bush.
