If you haven't been keeping up with the sad saga of former Democratic governor Don Siegelman you can read about it here.
Rove was all over this prosecution/persecution.
http://www.locustfork.net/blog/jill_simpsons_affidavit/jill_simpsons_famous_affidavit.html

Just heard on the radio that he was 'relocated' from Atlanta Fed. Penitentiary at 2 a.m. this morning.
TO AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION.

Federal prison officials won't say where until he arrives at his new prison.

What you want to bet that it's at the farthest point in the country from his friends and family in Alabama?

I hope the poor bastard isn't headed for Gitmo.
:grr:

1. and Rove had Don Siegelman prosecuted for political purposes
...... this has to do with the illegal acquisition of power by this
criminal operation called bush/Cheney.

They want to keep him quite about the use of U.S. attorneys and
the Dept. of Justice in this on going coup.

2. They took him out of the 2006 election here.
He would have been a shoo-in for the Democratic nomination.
The indictments came down at the very beginning of the campaign season.

He lost his race as incumbent in 2002 after a few thousand votes mysteriously and electronically 'swapped sides' late at night in my county.

He didn't ask for a recount because we had a repug AG and a unanimously repug supreme court, both of whom would have to rule on it.

3. We need investigations, trials, impeachments, and imprisonments .....
.... for this group of thugs. I have no doubt that Siegelman movement to another
prison has something to do with the investigations into the Dept. of Justice and
the U.S. Attorneys acting like "capos" for the bush crime family.
