DFA blogger thinks Hillary is very viable to be theDems choice. |

(I read this post by a blogger and found myself thinking giving some thought to what he was saying maybe even some some ring of truth. It can be just casually dismissed as speculation but so is all the rest of politics. Rangel's replacement of Kerry this morning on MTP feeds into it as it may mean Kerry may be in damage control mode. Want to give some feed back to this take on things? Will Kerry get the win on the nomination only to be replaced by a drafted Hillary?
**** The Drudge Report broke the Kerry intern story but an X CLINTON insider (Larry Nichols) predicted that Kerry would soon be assailed "accidently, on purpose" (sounds like Clark's 'accidental' slip...yep!) Except Nichols predicted it before it happened.

HOW CAN HILLARY GET IN THE RACE NOW?
I know a lot of people are wondering. If Hillary is to get in the race, wouldn't she have to hurry up, before John Kerry wins enough delegates to ensure his getting the nod during their convention in July? The answer is, not necessarily. At this point for her to enter the primary race would be in violation of her pledge not to run and would still expose her to the primary race slugfest, considering that Senator Kerry and the other candidates are still in the running. The premise by which Hillary would enter the political chess match was and still is for her to be drafted, as the only person the Democrats have who could beat President Bush in the general election.
Even though it seems that Senator Kerry will have legitimately won the right to represent the Democratic Party against Bush, I don't believe it will ever happen. If you want to know what is happening during this Democratic primary, its best not to look at what you can see as the election saga progresses. The place to watch for the eventual outcome is, as it always is, with the Clintons in the underbelly of the party apparatus. If you look there you will find that the Clintons' key political operatives are in every key position. Terry McAuliffe is in charge of the money as well as the DNC machine. Harold Ickes is raising millions from the Hollywood elite to back whichever candidate wins the Democratic Party primary. For anyone to believe that the Clintons would involve their people to this extent to get someone else elected is a serious mistake. The reason is simple. If they let someone else win the primary, that person would become the power center of the party, especially, if someone other than Hillary were to run against Bush and win.
The reality of this situation is what keeps me grounded in my belief that she is still staying with their plan for her to be the candidate the Democrats put forth to challenge Bush. The problem you have is that you may not yet see the potential she still has to end up being the only candidate that will be allowed to run against Bush. The slight of hand that they could use to pull off this trick would be to let Kerry go head and become the obvious victor, which will cause all of the other candidates to get out. Once that is done, don't be surprised if some very damaging information on Kerry is accidentally on purpose leaked that will destroy his ability to beat Bush. That would leave the party in the recarious situation of having elected a candidate in the Democratic primary process that could not possibly be allowed to run against Bush. At that point they would have little choice but to draft someone else that would be able to rally the party and run a national Presidential campaign on short notice. Do I really need to tell you who that person would be?
So you see, Hillary is still very much in the running for the Presidency against George W. Bush in 2004.

3. Larry Nichols is a piece of sh** |
|
He's one of the worst Clinton haters around. He has no credibility on anything. As for MTP, I've been reading that Kerry is letting surrogates push the AWOL issue so he can be above the fray. Sounds exactly like what Rangel was doing. He's a Korean War vet himself.

4. I think that Hilary Clinton |

Wants to be the Democratic Senate Leader. Majority please, if not Minority until the 2006 election. She will not run for president. Nor accept a draft. Majority leader of the Senate is more powerful than the president. You don't take a lot of bull at that job if you do it right and she will.

5. Did you bother reading what the blogger was |

saying which I posted this for or just knee jerk reaction to Larry Nichols? The blogger made a speculative point and others may not be as dimissive of the point as some here.

Dean's supporters should be embarrassed that they have to resort to posting RW crap. Talk about desperation. Hillary is not running, OK? Dick Morris must be infiltrating the Dean blog. :eyes:
BTW, you apparently have no idea who Larry Nichols is. Read "Hunting of the President" by Conason and Lyons.

7. I thought much of the same thing, but with Dean as the last minute........ |

replacement.
I hate to say it, but if I had to choose between Dean and Hillary - I will go with Hillary.
She did win the most admired woman in America award recently - which shows people are still on her side. She has been investigated inside out, the Big Dog would campaign for her, and the Clintons have beat a Bush before - so why not again.
Plus, I believe if she saw the Democratic Party in real trouble, she would step up to the plate. Her husband would do everything he could to influence her to run - and that is saying a lot!!
