1. I'm with you ... it's a good symbolic gesture but won't have any effect

3. Yes, symbolism has absolutely NO effect.
And the multi-billion advertising and PR industries really don't exist.

2. Well, you're half right.
It's true, we won't leave Iraq til we remove Bush/Cheney** from office.

But the House vote means MUCH in terms of PR. It's more momentum for the misAdministration's fall.

4. There was too much talk by Dems on the floor today about fighting
Al-Qaida. So I don't feel they have any intention of bringing any troops home where they belong and pursue a path of Peace.

Just more war in a different direction.

5. Fighting Al Qaeda and occupying a country are very different things
Edited on Thu Jul-12-07 06:13 PM by Hippo_Tron
There's only so much conventional fighting you can do against Al Qaeda, because much of it has to do with intelligence. Occupying a country where everyone hates you... well, for that you can use as much cannon fodder as you have available.

6. ABSOLUTELY. It's good to see someone gets it. * is saying impeach me
if you dare. He will obstruct justice and break the laws and Constitution just for the Hell of it. He's like a 12 year old child who is daring his parents to punish him.

Impeach Cheney and then *.
