Christian Right protests Hindu prayer to open Senate today
Today was a historic first for religion in America's civic life: For the very first time, a Hindu delivered the morning invocation in the Senate chamber -- only to find the ceremony disrupted by three Christian right activists.

They shouted from the gallery "this is an abomination." It certainly was. The disruptors were removed. I wonder how all those 700 Club people will react to this. Is that show still on TV?

1. It's outrageous
I posted about this earlier, but I had no video.

The video you provide shows how outrageous and childish this whole thing was.

Thanks.

are some of the nicest, most moral, spiritual, and family-oriented people I know.

Especially compared with some people who call themselves 'christians'.

Ignorance is sad.

6. These clown were on KO's "worst person in the world" list tonight
Keith had a great line. This isn't exactly right but it went something like "Mr. Christ issued an apology saying he never told anyone to be intolerant and he certainly didn't tell them to be rude."
