America's Retirees Choose...LaRouche?
I was digging through the campaign filings located here http://www.fec.gov/finance/2004matching/matching.html just from idle curiosity, when I thought to myself, "I wonder who's giving money to LaRouche?"

So I looked at his filing and was immediately struck by the number of donors who listed "Retired" as their occupation. It seems like an extraordinary number of retired people.

So I made a comparison with a few of the other candidates. This is the percent of donors who listed "Retired" as their occupation. I didn't see Bush or Kerry lists, so I didn't include them.

Clark 13.2%
Dean 17.4%
Edwards 5.6%
Lieberman 6.7%
Kucinich 8.2%
LaRouche 46.2%!

Do you suppose that LaRouche is hiding the origins of his contributions behind retired people?

Or could some of his donors be listing themselves as retired to avoid any workplace reprisal or embarrassment?

Maybe an investigative reporter would like to contact 1/3 of these retired donors to verify that they know who LaRouche is.

It seems very odd.

If the information is not fraudulent, at least it suggests his support may be at greater statistical risk of not being around for the next election cycle. LOL!
