At this point, I think we will need a 16 year Democratic presidency

The kind of junk and gross mismanagement due to the 8yrs of Bush-Cheney definitely requires a long term Democratic presence to right the ship. Domestically and internationally, America has a ton of work to do.

So whoever our Democratic nominee is in 2008, I hope they pick a good running mate. We have to think long term.

A series of one term presidents with a powerful democratic congress calling the shots for 16 years would be a lot better, but that is probably a pipe dream.
