Treating the Constitution like bird cage liner...
That is what the Bush administration and all their cronies are doing at this very moment...

There is no rule of law for this crowd...

They all swore a pledge to protect the Constitution and yet when ever they were faced with a choice between doing what is right or what is wrong, they instead choose the path of maximum profit for their Friends and colleagues ...

They gave no thought to whether these actions were right or wrong...

It never entered their mind to consider the ethical nature of any action they took...

They always measured the outcome simply by asking how does this help us politically and or financially...

Foul creatures aren't they now..

Most of their decisions, we are discovering, centered around what is best for the administration the Constitution be damned...

From the very beginning it was all about doing everything as far away from the public eye as possible...

I firmly believe that if 9/11 had not happened, Bush and his cronies were on a path for Impeachment or, at the very least, a healthy rebuke in November of 2004...

It just gets worse every day...

Every hour...

Every minute...

1. Oh yes...
Methinks these criminals will go down in history as the positively worst ever...

And just when you think they couldn't possibly do anything worse.......they exceed your expectations!

I saw a thread that said we'll need 16 Democratic years in the White House to fix everything they've messed up...

I'm afraid to say that I agree with that....

It makes me so sad to see what has become of our beloved Country...

And it also makes me want to live so I can help in some small way to restore her...

...sometimes, I know how some Romans in the 1st century B.C. must have felt.

5. This administration is setting the stage to replace a Democratic Republic
w/a Monarchy.

What they have done is beyond the pale, and the precedents they are attempting to engage are the beginnings of the downfall of the US as we have known it for 231 years.

The damage these people have done has no parallel our history; while they swore to uphold the Constitution, they have, in fact, done everything in their power to usurp that document. The previous complicit GOP led congress did all it could to give unprecedented power to these New Age Royalists, and it will take many years and a lot of pressure to rescind what has been done.

Slowly, as always in congress, wrongs are being corrected, but the future is in doubt. Once power is gained, it is extremely difficult to wrest said power from those that acquire it. In the case of this administration, far and away the worst this nation has ever seen, the possibility exists that an even worse one is down the road. The current administration, and the complicit GOP congress that gave these people power, have refused to look to the past to see what has happened, and refuse to look to the future to see just how damaging these decisions can potentially be.

Congress, under Gingrich, DeLay, Hastert, Lott and others, have given away oversight, and to add to the situation, the Press, had left these individuals free reign to destroy what they didn't like. Even when these people are shown to be criminals and traitors, they are essentially left to their own devices to destroy the last vestiges of democracy in the US.

It is imperative that they be exposed, and seen throughout history as a group of self aggrandizing and power hungry people who have sold our Constitution to the highest bidder. It is up to we, the people, to ensure we return to a system of checks and balances and give future generations a reason to be hopeful that the US will remain a Constitutional Democratic Republic.
