"Same Old Story, Same Old Act" Media Matters Jamison Foser skewers the MSM...
Great Read!!!

The same old story, same old act

The point isn't that the media never report damaging information about conservatives -- that is obviously not true. It's that the media endlessly repeat the same negative anecdotes about progressives over and over again, and does not do the same to conservatives. We're told, again and again, that John Edwards' haircuts contradict his policy proposals. That Al Gore claimed to invent the Internet. That John Kerry said he voted for one version of a bill but not another. That Howard Dean screamed. What do we hear over and over about John McCain? He's a Maverick War Hero. About Rudy Giuliani? America's Mayor.

Way more at the link...

1. True

Most stuff gets reported however briefly and uncritically. It is what happens next...and next and next...the legs and follow-through that betray the Pravda nature of corporate media. By the time a Dem reacts, if ever, to the repetition, the betrayal of a story that has left the gate has made its primary escape cleanly.

Hints of many many horrendous scandals I remember appearing briefly, in back pages and short articles, some even long. Then nothing as if nothing need or could ever be done further. And the incongruence of the wolf packs of media descending on the Paris Hilton scene takes a a smidgen of critical thinking to register. But it does and mentioning it to any news consumer brings an immediate nod of agreement.

2. thanks for posting. I think the media going after Edwards on something dumb and
then, pushing him out of alot of media time for him to discuss his ideas and the issues is awful.
they want to replay the breck girl image and make his look stupid and brainless.
This is simply unexcusable
