Go ahead and ask Ralph Nader a tough question - right now.
Edited on Sat Jul-14-07 04:13 PM by brainshrub
I've been live-blogging from the US Green Party convention. Ralph Nader is about to start a press conference in about 5 minutes.

Carl Romanelli will also be talking questions. (The guy who accepted Republican Santorum's money to run against Democrat Bob Casey Jr.)

I managed to get into the from row.

:hide:

Post a question in this thread, no matter how tough, and as long as it's respectful I'll ask both them.

I'll be checking into this thread to relay the answers and live-blogging on http://www.brainshrub.com/node/742">my blog.

ON EDIT: I posted my impressions about the Greens http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x1327442">in this DU thread yesterday.

1. Here's one: Why is it , Mr Nader, that you go into hibernation between elections..
Edited on Sat Jul-14-07 04:06 PM by Liberal Veteran
....and yet you expect us to think you are a viable alternative to the other parties when you do nothing to promote a real alternative party between elections?

4. Mr. Nader, do you believe our nation is in a constitutional crisis?. Why or why not?
And can you provide clear examples and/or analogies regarding your response to why or why not?

8. LMAO.
While funny, and while I may agree, can you think of a way to make that a bit more respectful?

9. I wish I could
but I have zero respect for anything Nader's done since his earlier days of rabble rousing at shareholder meetings. I wish he'd go back to that, and given the money he likely has now, he could probably influence the actions of some larger public corporations. Sadly, I think his ego is inversely proportionate to his substance.

7. "Are you enjoying your Bush tax cut?"
Multimillionaires like Nader made a lot of money from taxcuts in this administration.

12. Do you see a chance for improvement of smaller party and indy candidates getting
elected under a Democratic administration? Do you see such an administration as instituting election reforms like ranked voting and publicly financed campaigns?
