Prediction: as soon as Dems have their nominee, Iraq is out of the news, |
|
and the coverage will be pro-Bush 100%.
Attention will turn to all the manufacturing jobs created by the sinking dollar (except they won't say it's because of the sinking dollar).
We'll also be talking about athletes on sterrhoids and gay marriage.
ESPN will be a major delivery mechanism for the atheletes on sterrhoids stories (which they'll do to ensure the comcast-disney merger approval by a Republican/Powell-controlled FCC).
The media has talked ONLY about Iraq for years. It will all come to a very abrupt end.
That's my prediction.

|
you think the nominee will eventually be, that such a dark scenario comes to pass?

3. If Kerry's the nominee, I think it will make it harder for the Dems to win |
|
in Nov than if Edwards is the nominee.
Kerry is defined largely by the issues media will remove from the public conscience.
Edwards, on the other hand, is a living, breathing embodiement of the things he stands for and is better able to overcome whatever the Republicans do to try to change the subject.
