Poll question: Was Dennis Kucinich serious about running for president in 2004...
...when he continued his campaign after John Kerry had secured the number of delegates needed to win the nomination?

NOTE: Please read the entire question; it takes up more space than the subject line allows.

4. I hadn't thought of the matching funds angle; thanks.

Also, I wonder how many times people have to abuse the matching funds before it starts becoming a political football and people start talking about abolishment of them.

6. Don't delegates decide things other than the presidential nominee
Well as long as there was still delegates to be had and issues to be decided, Kucinich was serious.

The FEC should pay a penalty to Kucinich for being so stupid here, and then pay him again for bringing serious issues to the campaign.

7. Yes.
Serious candidates contend through to the end of all the primaries, so their supporters have a chance to have their voices heard via votes.

Mr Kucinich was campaigning to end the occupation of Iraq. Mr Kerry was campaigning for a 'smarter' occupation. He (Kerry) wasn't totally opposed to the invasion and occupation, as much as he was appalled at how badly it had been handled.
