Clinton Shuns Fox Debates but, Pockets Murdoch's Money
But in her most recent filing at the FEC, Hillary Clinton reported two large donations from the very top of the Fox corporate structure.

On June 5, Rupert Murdoch, chairman of the News Corporation, gave her presidential bid $2,300. A few weeks later, his son, James R. Murdoch, chief executive of British Sky Broadcasting in London, gave $3,400. Altogether, NewsCorp/Fox executives gave at least $40,000 to the Clinton campaign.

In July 2006, the elder Murdoch hosted a fundraiser for Clinton's Senate re-election campaign, raising many eyebrows among Democrats. The Financial Times, which first disclosed the event, noted that Murdoch was a part of the "vast right wing conspiracy" named by Hillary Clinton as determined to destroy her husband's presidency.

She explained her willingness then to accept Murdoch's support to the FT: "He's my constituent and I'm very gratified that he thinks I'm doing a good job."

Say... didn't Howard Dean take a large chunk of Murdoch's money? Why, yes he did.

16. Not ironic at all because HRC is a public political figure.
Am I to be labeled "irrational" or "nutz" on this thread? :P

Is because someone is a public figure, making fun of their looks is ok?

5. HRC is the Corporatists "girl", and IF she locks the Dem nomination, then
it's business as usual in the old boardrooms and that will not be good for the American Public. I hate to belittle ambitions, but HRC is the wrong candidate at the wrong time.

9. Do you know how absolutely inane that sounds...
Do you seriously think Hillary Clinton is pocketing the few thousand dollars her campaign gets from Murdoch?

Why do you not condemn Ted Kennedy or Howard Dean for the contributions they have received?

The answer is pretty clear!

7. If one does like the current election financing system one should look at Federal Financing of
Federal Elections.

Until then, people will give money for "access" - and they will give it to everyone.

Where is your condemnation of them...?

Regurgitating old news, which has been responded to time and time again, it has been pointed out numerous times that many of the "progressive" anointed ones also have received large quantities of money from Murdoch...yet they go unmentioned...

hmmmm...wonder why that is...

25. See what happens when people don't read the whole article

Though the writer bent over backwards to say that its possible the donations are from Democrats that work for NewsCorp. Which is certainly possible. Their COO is and he just held a huge joint fundraiser with Spielberg for Hillary. But the author makes no such distinction for Hillary's remaining $35K not from the Murdochs.
