Kerry to Mitt: Who’s flip-flopping now?
Kerry to Mitt: Who’s flip-flopping now?
By Casey Ross
Boston Herald Reporter

Tuesday, July 17, 2007 - Updated: 08:52 AM EST

Still stung by accusations of his own flip-flopping, U.S. Sen. John F. Kerry yesterday put the shoe on the other foot, accusing former Gov. Mitt Romney of being the real chameleon of presidential politics and jabbing him with the same painful taunts that helped sink Team Kerry in 2004.

“Let’s be very clear. I had not changed my positions and they played a game with that,” Kerry said of his Republican opponents in the 2004 race.

By contrast, he said, Romney is far more deserving of the flip-flopper label. “He’s changed on abortion, he’s changed on gay rights and he’s changed on marriage,” Kerry said. “He’s changed on guns and he’s changed on the war. That’s pretty significant. I think people are asking the question out there, ‘Who is he, really?’ ”

A Romney spokesman quickly returned fire yesterday, charging that Kerry is harboring the delusions of a fallen contender.

“This is a textbook case of Freudian projection,” Eric Fehrnstrom said. “John Kerry is projecting his own undesirable traits onto other people. It’s a mild form of personality disorder. Usually, it’s not a cause for concern unless it shows up in a U.S. senator.”

2. Sad that it fell to Kerry to point this out;
heaven forbid anyone in the media should bother to.

8. that's true. My point is Kerry wasn't the first to point it out. He won't be the last, either.

12. People in the media make mountains of money, so people like Kerry, who scare them,
because they are more likely to favor higher taxation rates on the wealthy, are fair game, while pukes like Romney - who are more likely to keep their personal income taxation rates low - get a free pass. That's how it works, IMO, i.e., personal interest. Consider that editorial in the Scaife newspaper - Republicans understand that the direction which has been pursued by Bush/Cheney is making the world less stable, and as a result, the price of oil is rising, and will continue to rise, since, duh, where does oil come from. Those higher oil prices will lead to lower profits and lower incomes.

6. I prefer referring to him as a champion liar. The sharp attack
by his campaign sounds desperate.

11. You're One, What Am I?!
Romney is toast. The Republican Party is toast. The only question is going to be the magnitude of their melt-down in 2008. Let's work overtime to make sure it's massive.

He is such a tool. He is now and ever will be a moron, He has no redeeming qualities what so ever. Must have contacted the Republican Rag the boston herald to spew the bs. They love it.
