CNN Poll NH: Edwards drops to fourth behind Richardson...Edwards highest negatives...
Edited on Tue Jul-17-07 04:14 PM by SaveElmer
Obama picks up support at Edwards expense...

Hillary 36
Obama 27
Richardson 11
Edwards 9

On the Democratic side, 16 percent of the 333 voters surveyed said they would not consider voting for Clinton under any circumstances; 15 percent said the same about Obama, and 24 percent viewed Edwards as unacceptable.

2. Not good news for Edwards obviously. But it is only one poll. Plus 333 is a very small sample size.
Edited on Tue Jul-17-07 04:26 PM by jsamuel
Let's see if that shows up in others.

MOE is 5.5

4. Wow. Obama's within single digits of Hillary. Edwards down to single digits in total.
I feel bad for Edwards. He's a good man but seems that it's just not his time.

Not a good spot to be in. Richardson is this campaigns' dark horse.

The country, and especially the part that is made up of Democratic voters, is much smarter than you think.

23. Doesn't New Hampshire allow Independants to vote for either primary?

We have an Independent representing us due to crossover voting.

His name is Joe Lieberman.

9. Vinod Gupta...Mark Penn...Doug Schoen
One of her main advisors, Mark Penn, has a polling company which I assume is still functioning, though he is also connected to world wide groups. His partner, Doug Schoen, is also a Hillary advisor.

http://journals.democraticunderground.com/madfloridian/1193

But read about Vinod Gupta who bought a polling company called infoUSA which does polls for CNN...and I don't know who else.

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/14/us/politics/14gupta.html?_r=1&oref=login

"Mr. Gupta, who arrived in Nebraska from India in 1967, was unusually successful in working his way into the Democratic fold, to the point where he found himself sleeping in the Clinton White House, vacationing with the former president and appointing the Democratic chairman, Terry McAuliffe, to the board of one of his companies. He gave consulting contracts worth $3 million to Mr. Clinton, and recently hired the son of Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Because of those close links with Democrats, he stirred conflict-of-interest questions by buying a company that does presidential polling for CNN."

Good men, all of them, but so many ties to pollsters.

15. Oh, well....all those pollster advisors don't seem to worry anyone.
I feel the polls will be a determining factor...perhaps not because they are right but because they will manipulate views. They have always manipulated our views that way.

27. Two very simple reasons...
1. You have provided no evidence whatsoever that CNN polls have been manipulated..

2. This poll was conducted by the University of New Hampshire

Edwards will have to regain momentum with a win or close loss in one of the early primaries, IMO.

Edited on Tue Jul-17-07 06:58 PM by bunnies
They will change & change & change before the vote comes. More than 40% of our voting bloc is independent. And as the article says... only 10% of Democrats have settled on a candidate.

edit to add: also, Ive yet to see a single ad from ANY candidate!

I also saw John Edwards on Chris Mathews and he was quite good, in fact, charming.

It's early.
