2008 undecideds: Are you around? Check in now.
Edited on Tue Jul-17-07 04:24 PM by rhombus
I'm beginning to think the lines have been drawn already on DU. I've yet to come across one undecided person with respect to the 2008 contests. Seems everyone here already has their candidate.

So its now a slugfest with the usual bomb-throwing, but with no conversions made. What's the point? Its getting quite tiring reading DU nowadays.

Are there any undecideds on DU? Any at all?

P.S. For the record, I'm solidly in Obama's camp.

4. Neither of my guys are in it at the moment....but i'm hoping for the dream ticket to be announced...
...soon...

It's kind of funny, we don't normally start ripping each other to shreds until MUCH closer to the primaries...I guess this election cycle is different with no incumbent (thank jeebus) and a wide-open field for the Dems...

Quit frnakly I think that all of this campaigning for an election that is over a year away os one of the MAIN things wrong with the political system in this country...

6. The only three I'd like to see as President are Gore, Kerry, and Feingold, so
I'm undecided, but leaning towards Edwards.

9. I have not made up my mind
fact I just will wait and see who runs. I think some one besides me picks who it will be. I just hate to see a Clinton run. I have had it with Bush's and Clinton's for now. I do think Clinton is smart. I like new thinkers and Richardson and Obama look pretty good in that line. Dennis I think may be our best Dem. in the lot. I will give money but very little later on.

13. Me too...er...three....er...me eight!
Still undecided. Don't want Hillary, in spite of apparent appeal, i think she is too polarizing. I really like Obama but i would prefer him in 2012, I like Edwards - a LOT but it is too early to tell if he will be the stake horse or not. Of course, the guys that could actually make a difference - that would ACTUALLY CHANGE THINGS FOR THE BETTER are marginalized or made to look idiotic or too radical (Kucinich, et al)

So, I am undecided. If Gore enters, it would still depend on who he is up against.

Gore v. Hillary? Gore for sure
Gore v. Obama? Gore for sure
Gore v. Edwards? I want to hear the debates first.
Gore v. Kucinich? I doubt it would get that far.

Dream ticket? Gore & Edwards w/ Obama as Sec of Education, Hillary as AG, Kucinich as Sec of State.

Hows that?

14. I'm not impressed with the current crop of Dem Prez candidates
I'll enthusiastically support Al Gore, if he gets it, but other than Al, I'm sitting out the 2008 Prez race, but I will support Dem Congressional candidates around the nation.

16. The only decision made is who I would not vote for.
If Gore or Clark get in, the decision will become easy, but right now I only know only who would I never vote for (Edwards, Clinton, Biden, Dodd)

20. What? There's going to be an election in 2008?
I think it's wise to remain undecided until much, much later. There's bound to be a lot of things happening between now and then... And maybe some new faces. Also, I don't like the stink of money that has pervaded this election & wish there was a lot more serious discussion of the issues coming from these campaigns.

I have yet to see a so-called 'top tier' that is truly behind health care reforms. Hard to throw my support to anyone who is singing rhe corporate insurance theme tune (all the way to the bank...
