Body Language in The Senate tonight |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-18-07 01:25 AM by wlucinda
I was watching the senate coverage, when everyone was being called in for the proceedural vote, and it was really fascinating watching the interaction as they were milling around. It was like High School :D All the ladies gathered together for a while, then the men joined them, Obama spotted Clinton as he entered, then turned his back to her, she stayed "open" to him but didnt approach him, and she eventually turned away. Kerry popped in and out of the picture fassssst.
Dunno how it works outside the camera coverage area, but I found that interesting.
Edited to add that i've been ill for quite a long time and out of the loop...I'm playing catch up BIG TIME on everthing, so it was interesting for me to see the Senate in a casual moment.

3. Glad you're feeling well enough to check in |
|
I hope it's nothing serious. I've seen too many DUr's fall to health problems. I wish I could see the interaction (have to stream on-line and the video suxs) It can be more revealing than what they say.

6. Thanks! It's serious but |
|
i'm not going anywhere just yet. :)
I was around a LOT during the last election and as I am reading the threads here, I see that several of the people I liked to read have passed. :(
I really did think the video was very telling. Of course there are a million other factors that come into play, (knowing they are on camera, etc) but it still interested me.

7. It's often quite revealing to watch what they don't realize they're saying. |
|
Usually tells you quite a bit about them and their real motivations.
BTW - Glad you're here. I gather you've been around awhile, otherwise I'd say Welcome.
What the hell - Welcome ANYWAY! Welcome BACK anyway! Just happy you're with us!

I barely recognize the place. Its VERY different around here between elections I guess. :) I feel like i've been dropped off at a very dysfunctional family reunion. A "lots of love and lots of flying beer bottles" sort of reunion....but I do love this place. :D

9. Well, there you are! Sounds like a pretty good way to sum up DU. |

WE must be those proverbial cats people always talk about trying valiantly to herd in some cohesive manner. :hi:
