Despite losing streak, Dean has appeal in Wisconsin
MADISON, Wis. - The kids went nuts as strobe lights flashed and Howard Dean strode like a rock star to the center of the college campus stage.

(snip)

With all signs pointing to yet another landslide for Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, Dean is refusing to go quietly. As the Democratic Party and organized labor close ranks behind Kerry, the former Vermont governor continues to lash out at his front-running rival.

Asked by a voter during a Wisconsin campaign stop last week whether as president he would attempt to ease partisan ill will in Washington, Dean shot back, "I'm not going to Washington to be a nice guy. I'm going to kick the right wing out."

(snip)

Unlike most previous contests, Wisconsin's primary is a come-one, come-all affair, welcoming Republican voters and independents.

1. I love that answer
Even if Dean drops out, I really hope he keeps his fire targeted at Bush and doesn't let up.

2. "A loss here...could turn his candidacy into a national joke."
I hope this reality is seeping in over at Dean HQ.

4. A joke when he is second in delegates?
That person must have some major logic problems. Even if he loses, his candidacy has been a shot in the arm to the Democratic Party.

They will do same-o, same-o to their detriment now.

5. Glad you said it
I don't see why a lot of people are pressuring Dean to drop out when he's in second place. Why don't we just hand the nomination to Kerry? Even though it appears that JK will be the nominee there's a long race still left and anything can happen. I want to have a choice as to who the nominee is. I don't want the media or any other groups to decide my rights.
