How long will Fred Thompson be allowed to play coy before he
actually announces his candidacy? I'm watching re-runs (summer programming bad here) of L&O and nothing but Fred Thompson episodes. This coy, "I'm assesing the situation," etc. fools no one. I doubt he has a prayer, but he does continue to receive free exposure because he has not actually announced. Aren't the other RW losers annoyed with this also?? Just wondering.

1. He won't announce.
He has many skeletons in his closet, of David Vitter proportions.

4. NBC has said that when he announces they
will stop showing reruns of episodes in which he appeared. I'm sure the other actors, especially those who only appeared in the 5 years he was on L&O, hope he never announces so that their residual checks won't dry up and blow away.

8. The reason Thompson is not announcing....
is because as long as he's not officially a candidate, he doesn't have to report donations as campaign contributions. I believe that is what I read this week. Sorry, no link. But that struck me as pretty slimy.

9. Fred has a very strange background. Nixon mole, registered foreign agent for 20+ yrs,
Senator from Tenn, TV personality. IMO, this seems like a resume for one of those 3 letter agencies. I don't think he will get in the race, but is looking for a post if Mitt wins.
