Who are the "Hillblazers"?
And how is one person allowed to raise 1 million dollars?

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=2857339&page=2

A core group of about 20 people many of whom have been raising money for the Clintons since President Bill Clinton first ran in 1992 have been asked to try and raise $1 million apiece for Hillary Clinton's 2008 effort. A larger group will be asked to meet lesser but still-ambitious goals of $750,000 and $500,000 on down.

3. You can set up fundraising events and get people to contribute
There are people out there that are really good at setting up events, managing people and logistics and getting people to sign up/contribute.

A rare breed...

6. So 10,000 unique donors are required to raise $23 Million?
That would be 10,000 donors each contributing $2300.

Or is there other ways to get the dough?

7. I think the Hillrazers are for both primary and GE.
So its $4600 as the max.

It means that each Hillrazer must get about 220 people to donate the max.

8. So 5000 people giving the max can give $23 Million?
Or is there a way to have less than that number?

So one is allowed to give to both GE and Primary up front?

9. "So one is allowed to give to both GE and Primary up front?"
Yes.

Hillary has collected about $12.5M so far for the GE. I think Obama has collected about $3M.

However they are not allowed to spend that GE money should they not secure the nomination. The money would have to be returned to the donors.

10. I have read in various places in the MSM that Wall Street is giving to Hillary and Obama,
So how does the MSM come up with this?

Also why doesn't opensecrets have a breakdown on size of donation?

Donation size would seem to be a very important, and I cannot find the info.

12. That is good stuff there,
But how does the press know that Wall Street, for example, is giving to a candidate?

13. I imagine it based on the place of employment.
Which is available via the FEC's disclosure databases.
