For Obama, many voters either think he lacks the right experience or are unsure. Just over a third of voters (35 percent) think he has the right experience, including 47 percent of Democrats. In December, 22 percent of voters thought Obama had the right experience.

More voters think Clinton is basing her candidacy on her own experience (45 percent) than on her husband Bill’s experience (30 percent); 20 percent say both.

When voters are asked which one candidate they would pick to sit down and have a conversation with, 26 percent say Clinton, 18 percent Obama, 12 percent Giuliani, 8 percent McCain and 7 percent Thompson.

1. Oh to see them choke on their own poll is too delicious.
I can actually feel their pain thru the writing.

3. I bet FOX doesn't even put this on TV
Fox reminded us everyday in 2001-2003 When Baby Bush was a "popular wartime president".

4. You gotta love it!!
This of course means that Hillary and Barack are beating the GOP'ers by even BIGGER numbers than this.

5. Another poll that shows Obama picking up ground.
WITH GORE: Obama lops seven points off of Hillary's lead from late June.
WITHOUT GORE: Obama lops ten points off of Hillary's lead from late June.

And he's only five points back when you consider first and second choices.

:bounce:

6. If you wanna spin it that way...
Course the race has simply returned to where it was in early June...late June was particularly good for Hillary for some reason...

Fact remains she still leads by 16 percentage points...with Gore, 15 without...

And yet another poll shows the electiblity argument against Hillary is bogus

Also don't think simply adding first and second place votes is correct, adds up to over 100%, and depends on who has dropped out...

9. Obama was closer before anyone even knew what he intended to do as president
Edited on Thu Jul-19-07 04:53 PM by draft_mario_cuomo
From February 27-28: HRC 40%, BO 26%, JE 15%, DK 1%

He seems to be recovering some of his lost ground, though, in polls. Let's see if this is the start of a comeback or a blip on the long campaign radar screen.

As far as why Obama fell in late June in the Faux poll, that happened to him across the board. Why? Memogate and the Rezko stories. That brief period is the only time Obama, the media darling since July of 2004, has received negative coverage in the CMSM and he suffered as a result.

7. We can only assume the real numbers are even more catastrophic for the Repubs.
And yet my eyes are dry.

10. Democrats prefer HRC on Iraq 48-27 over Obama (Republicans prefer Obama)
Edited on Thu Jul-19-07 05:02 PM by draft_mario_cuomo
SE, what you posted above is the overall number. Republicans prefer Obama on Iraq...Among Democrats HRC has a 21 point lead over Obama and a 12 point lead among independents. This is hilarious given the reliance on the IWR card by the Obama camp in recent weeks.

11. Wow, only 35% think BO has the experience to be prez and only 50% think Ghouliani does
Edited on Thu Jul-19-07 05:03 PM by draft_mario_cuomo
Among independents only 38% think Obama is experienced enough to be president while 54%--not a great number--think Ghouliani is. Even among Democrats only 47% think Obama has enough experience...

HRC is also seen as more electable than Obama.

13. Yes, because nothing similar happened with Obama supporters and FoxNews.
:eyes:

Ya know the network that regularly has an accident while pronouncing your guy's last name.

But there YOU were in the thick of it touting FoxNews BS in a divide and conquer attack.

Ya wanna know why Clinton fans love this poll? Because even knowing it is likely biased against Dems it shows Clinton and Obama making big gains to take lead in head to head matchups with the top GOPers.
