Need to convince some righties...

I am fairly new here to DU, posting that is but I have visted and read here for years now...and frequent access this sitre for "breaking news" which often can be found here before a lot of MSM...

For years now I have also been posting quite regularly at a much smaller political discussion site that when I first posted there had mostly libetarian subscribers... I'm a liberal and we have a few other liberals there but we always ahd some healthy discussion... it;s nice sometimes listening to your oponents viewpoints and trying to convince then of your own..

but of late our nice litte political board has been infiltrated by some more hard nose righties, some even bigots and I'm hoping to make it a more balanced group again...

anyway I plan on starting to post here regularly...you guys are more on my frequency.. but also invite anyone here to our tiny political discussion board to add some flavor from the left..

I'll post here too... but I've been posting at forumclick for like 4 years now.. there are some very nice people there... we just need some new blood...MORE BLUE BLOOD!!

What I found with one or two exceptions was arrogant, hard-headed righties who monopolized all discussions and got away with calling lefties the most disgusting names.

The admins there read members' PMs (and denied it), and gave the right much more room to be abusive toward lefties. The lefty admin was never a true lefty, and, while promising to represent the lefty members, kowtowed to the righty admins and undermined lefty mods.

It was a disturbing, disgusting experience. I think I'll stay put at DU, thankyewverymuch.
