Looks like Hillary is forcing the Pentagon to back down...

Breaking: Gates Distances Himself From Edelman's Attack On Hillary Clinton

By Greg Sargent | bio

Defense Secretary Robert Gates is distancing himself from an under secretary's assertion that Senator Hillary Clinton's public questions about Pentagon troop withdrawal plans are aiding the enemy.

In response to our queries, the Pentagon declined to endorse the remarks made by Under Secretary of Defense Eric Edelman in a recent letter to Clinton.

"I have said on several occasions in recent months that I believe that congressional debate on Iraq has been constructive and appropriate," Gates said, in a statement that was emailed to Election Central by Pentagon spokesperson Karen Finn.

Gates added that he was "looking into the issues" raised by Edelman's comments in the letter and Hillary's concerns about them.

3. I had no doubt that Hillary was a very good politician...and things can change...
But I'm not sure if her instincts aren't actually better than Bill's...I mean their response to attack has been spot on and has shown alot of political savvy...

So far she is running a great campaign...and unusually disciplined for so early in the process...it's like they were a well oiled machine practically from day one...

2. She is ready for them

I am not the largest Hilliary fan, but she can hold her own. And, she has Bill to advise her & he is the master of political chess.

agendas. To portray the ruse of an adversarial relationship, when in reality, it's all just one big money-making waltz. :wow:

Getting to Know You ... Getting to know all about you ... <wink wink> Cha cha cha CHING! The stench of death and destruction is sweet for those who benefit from perpetual war profiteering, i.e., all those who invest in such corporations and the lawmakers who serve them by direction of The Pentagon. :wow:

Such a half-a**ed convincing show, those of us trained to see through the obfuscations and Media filters wonder why their efforts are NOW SO UNPROFESSIONAL. The power brokers' confidence is such that they don't even seemingly feel a need to come across to the public as polished and professional while conducting disinformation campaigns.

I equate the Political Ruling Classes (both parties) as synonymous with the top "Crime Family" in the city proclaiming, "Yeah, what do you think you're gonna do about it? Am I funny? Funny, how? Like a clown? That type of FUNNY?!?" All the while the lion's share of the smaller Crime Families (Our Congress - with feet of clay) cower in the background.

Getting to know you? You got that right! - After you rip off their masks, one often finds that they're all part of the same disgusting war-profiteering corporate team. *But Shh!* They're playing their roles for us little people's benefit. After all, we don't have the capacity to FORCE our lawmakers to do their damn jobs ... we will (at least in the short term) NOT be blessed with representative Government. :(

Next Disinformation Campaign on tap: Party Knows Best! :eyes:

11. They better fire the guy too
I am not a Hillary fan but for the Pentagon to attack a Presidential candidate like that is totally inappropriate and frightening.
