why would he endorse Obama? Can't think of one reason, certainly not to move his environmental agenda forward.

5. Exactly--and look at how that turned out |
|
Given his movement to deal with the climate crisis I doubt he would want to risk angering a potential president by endorsing someone who may wind up losing.

10. Unfortunately, Gore's still being framed in the MSM as an Eco-nut. |
|
He "should" wait for the primary winner.

6. I think he'll wait this time |
|
and just support the nominee. He endorced Dean early on last time and I recall him commenting on how that one worked out no so well.
We shall see!

His endorsement of Dean actually backfired last time. People accused him of trying to act as a "kingmaker". Dean became the frontrunner and immediately Gephardt, Kerry, and Lieberman came together and went very negative on Dean.
The only way I'd be upset is if he endorsed HRC before the first primary. It would destroy much of the goodwill that Gore has built up with progressives since 2000. I'm sure he'd endorse HRC if she's the nominee, but I doubt he'll endorse anyone until the nomination is sewed up.

19. Didn't the Gores and the Clintons end up feeling sort of hostile toward one another? |
|
I know Tipper was angry at Clinton and his escapades...which denied Gore the opportunity to use Clinton in the campaign because he didn't want that scandal to rub off on him. I really don't think he'd do much to help the Clintons get back in the White House. Maybe if Hillery wins...he'll have to or maybe he'll just be too busy working on the environment.
