Hannity gets "Worst Person" runner-up for saying Whitewater, Foster death "chapters remaining open"
Media Matters for America: Hannity gets "Worst Person" runner-up for saying that Whitewater, Vince Foster death are "chapters remaining open"

On the July 19 edition of MSNBC's Countdown, host Keith Olbermann named Fox News host Sean Hannity the "runner-up" in his nightly "Worst Person in the World" segment for comments Hannity made during the "Clinton Chapters" segment of the July 15 edition of Fox News' Hannity's America, in which, as Media Matters for America documented, Hannity asserted that "there are still many chapters remaining open from (Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's) time at the Rose Law Firm. Take Whitewater and the death of Vince Foster." Olbermann responded: "No, there aren't. That's what the last of three special prosecutors concluded after six years and $60 million spent investigating her." Indeed, Foster's death has been conclusively determined to have been a suicide, and after extensive investigations, three different Republican independent counsels determined that there was insufficient evidence to bring any charges against the Clintons in the Whitewater matter.

As Media Matters has noted, Olbermann has frequently named Hannity in his "Worst Person" segment. For instance, on June 18, Olbermann named Hannity the "winner" of the segment for claiming to be "frustrated" by purported differences between the Democratic and Republican presidential debates: "The Democrats don't get the questions on partial-birth abortion or asked if they've read the National Intelligence Estimate. It seems like the Republicans are getting more scrutiny." In fact, as Media Matters for America noted, Democratic candidates were asked questions on those very issues during the Democratic candidates' April 26 and June 3 debates.

From the July 19 edition of MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann:

OLBERMANN: Runner-up tonight, Sean Hannity. As if the Pentagon threat against Senator Clinton were not enough, he says of her, "There are still many chapters remaining open from her time at the Rose Law Firm, take Whitewater and the death of Vince Foster." No, there aren't. That's what the last of three special prosecutors concluded after six years and $60 million spent investigating her.

If there are still many chapters remaining open for Senator Clinton, then you can just as easily say that for Mr. Hannity. There are still many chapters remaining open from the time you were accused of being a human replicant built and programmed by Halliburton.

2. This is a "winger psychology glitch": wingnuts always believe all accusations made against Democrats
Edited on Sun Jul-22-07 06:04 AM by Perry Logan
I'm sure you've noticed this. Wingers automatically believe any and all accusations made against Democrats--and they go on believing them to their graves.

Example: the average Republican thinks Bill Clinton was a very corrupt President, when in fact his was the CLEANEST two-term administration since Teddy Roosevelt (as measured by the total number of convictions and forced resignations within the administration).

It's especially weird when you start to whup a winger in a debate. When you corner him, he'll dump his entire cache of delusional accusations on you. It's a right-wing defense mechanism, very disgusting.

4. It comes to their belief that if the party they vote for is bad then the party they are
against is just as bad or worse. I just had a run in with one of those types. He sprouted the usual democrats are evil rants, never once providing any facts, so I countered him with every republican scandal from Mark Foly to Vitter with facts and links to the stories. He then decleared himself an independent because neither democrats or republicans deserved his vote, both parties were self seeking. Both were just as bad. So then I asked him why he thought that, he mentioned democratic scandals, which were mostly republicans that Fox news claimed were democrats, so again out came the fact sheet. Did I change this persons mind? Nope, He then told me all the great news about Don't Give a Shit Mitt. They never learn.

3. let's face it
The GOP Wrecking Machine will, as always, pull out all the stops to annihilate the Democratic candidate whoever that may be. It's rather pathetic that this regurgitated bile is the best Hannity can come up with off the cuff. Funny, but pathetic.

6. Hannity is practically insane, he denies reality and tries to create his own.
Hannity is also a racist that used to spew on right-wing radio in upstate New York years ago, before he got his Faux Snooze gig.

7. Hannity and the Freepers are morons blinded by hate.
If you ever get in an argument with one of them concerning the sad case of Vince Foster's death, ask why every single official investigation calls it a suicide- including the investigation of the Independent Prosecutor, Ken Starr.

The following link is a section of a right wing conspiracist but it includes the text of Starr's report which completely negates the Hannity and Freeper propaganda.

8. Someone needs to write the tale of Vince and Hillary...
...as understood in Republican fantasy. Like Ann Coulter's bony 47-year-old legs, Vince and Hillary have the Republicans by the groin. Suicide, cleavage, domination, uptightness, plump calves, pumpkins. We are talking trash best seller. I'd buy it just for the cover art.
