Saudi Arabian Osama Bin Laden and Egyptian Ayman al-Zawahiri, leaders of Al Qaeda based in Afghanistan, planned and ordered the biggest terrorist attack on the United States since Republican Timothy McVeigh.

The attack was led by Egyptian Mohammed Atta. The rest of the attackers were Saudi Arabian Waleed al-Shehri, Saudi Arabian Wail al-Shehri, Saudi Arabian Abdulaziz al-Omari, Saudi Arabian Satam al-Suqami, Saudi Arabian Mohand al-Shehri, Saudi Arabian Hamza al-Ghamdi, Saudi Arabin Ahmed al-Ghamdi, Saudi Arabian Hani Hanjour, Saudi Arabian Khalid al-Mihdhar, Saudi Arabian Majed Moqed, Saudi Arabian Nawaf al-Hazmi, Saudi Arabian Salem al-Hazmi, Saudi Arabian Ahmed al-Haznawi, Saudi Arabian Ahmed al-Nami, Saudi Arabian Saeed al-Ghamdi, United Arab Emirates Marwan al-Shehhi, United Arab Emirates Fayez Banihammad, and Lebanese Ziad Jarrah.

Notably absent from the terrorist plot were all citizens of Iraq. (The list of all Iraqi citizens not participating is omitted for brevity.) The late Iraqi Saddam Hussein is a known non-conspirator, non-planner, non-participant, and non-sponsor of the attack. The Republican Administration headed by Republican George W. Bush and Republican Dick Cheney is believed not to be behind the attack as the attack succeeded.

Republican George W. Bush initially boasted he would capture Saudi Osama Bin Laden "dead or alive." But Republican George W. Bush and Republican Donald Rumsfeld failed to commit sufficient American troops to accomplish the job in Afghanistan. So Saudi Osama Bin Laden escaped as did Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Omar. Together with Egyptian Ayman al-Zawahiri, Saudi Osama Bin Laden and Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Omar continue to thrive as do the organizations they lead. The United States, under Republican President George W. Bush and Republican Co-President Dick Cheney, has not been so fortunate.

1. That pretty much sums up the situation. I think I'll bookmark this in the
event I get into one of my many arguments about how we ever got to the place we are today. Mind if I use it?
