1. And just what if there are no more elections?
What then?

2. I don't debate the impossible. Even Kos calls this idea beyond ignorant.
"And no, Bush won't cancel the next round of elections to remain in power. That's about the most ridiculous conspiracy theory I've seen in a long time. Some people on our side can be just as "out there" as the "black helicopter" crowd."

5. I do not care who thinks it's impossible.
Eight years ago I would have laughed at anyone who would suggest that we would be where we are today.

The Patriot Act and a slew of signing statements have set up the distinct possibility that, following a National Emergency, elections could be suspended indefinitely.

Anyone who doesn't think that option is hovering around the table is not operating with their eyes wide open. Never assume anything with this bunch.

If, in 1988, anyone had told me that I would soon be helping to plan an operation that would result in the deaths of scores of thousands of innocent people. I would have told them to go get some counseling.

6. Perhaps the despair mongers are just pretending to be on our side.
One means of disenfranchisement is a psychological war to make people think voting or activism is hopeless. The amount of this type of stuff lately may be symptomatic of desperation on the right in light of their current predicament, oversight of criminal leaders.

3. Excellent point!
Didn't he just say the other day we should go after both Bush AND Cheney???

Maybe the good Congressman is bi-polar. ;)

4. He's right, Code Pink is wrong
Impeachment would have been nice - 2 years ago. Today, it would do NOTHING. By the time all papers were assembled and the hearings started, they would already be changing the locks on the WH for the new resident.

And to take the attitude of "Impeach, or we'll run someone else against you" is just plain stupid, about as smart as voting for Nader in 2000 or 2004, take your pick.

Look we have a slim majority. Do you know what slim means? In this case it means small, and by small I mean under 60%. Yes the GOP is playing dirty, but you can't blame this on Conyers and Pelosi.

Some people say this is the actions of the far left - I disagree. This is the work of people who are impatient and foolhardy.
