There doesn't seem to be any course toward redress of grievances
I am trying to see something to hold onto, but am failing. Here are the outstanding issues at this time:

1. Cheney or Rove outed Valerie Plame, and no one is going to be punished

2. Bush is enacting laws all by himself

3. He is also signing laws that he will break whenever he feels like it

4. Next year's elections are going to be phony. The day after election day, the BBV companies, all of which are run by ultra-right-wing republicans, will tell us who won, regardless of how many votes were cast for any of the candidates.

5. The DOJ is only prosecuting Dems, inventing cases where none exist.

6. Fredo Gonzalez <http://www.courant.com/news/opinion/commentary/hc-commentarypatriot0722.artjul22,0,730398.story|has lied under oath>, and will continue to.

7. The media is just taking Rove's blast faxes and printing them/reading them over the air.

And there isn't anything we can do about any of it. Not one damn thing.

Help me out here. Is there any way this is going to end without another civil war?

1. The public is too fat and lazy for a revolution/civil war --
That's one reason why Bush has succeeded so well this far --
As Howard Zinn has said . . . Americans are always asking him "what can we do."
In Europe, people don't ask that, they know what to do.
What Americans are saying is: When can we get back to our TV programs --

We elected Democratic representatives to do something about all this --
I think we have to substantially increase the heat on them --
and on government at local levels.

Basically, I we have to think our way out of this --

Are we smarter than they are -- ????

3. Do you really think that calling my rep is going to do anything?
75% of the citizens want out of Iraq. 60% want * impeached. 60% want universal health care. We're not getting any of those things.

I meant something that might actually have some effect.

4. Stand up on Sundays...get your family, friends, neighbors
out there standing w/ you...when there are a couple hundred people standing up on Sundays in your town...you can bet that your Rep/Sen. will know about it.

if 75% of your friends join you, if 60% of your neighbors join you...that will be the difference!!

it's easy...make a sign that says ENOUGH!...join a group if there is one, or start your own, as I have done, here in the middle of Indiana...We are the change that we seek!!
